In addition, he is an advance weather spotter and an amateur radio operator.

Along with the assistance of the Coal City Volunteer Auxiliary Police unit, Grundy County Amateur radio club and the Grundy County Emergency Management Agency volunteer unit we also operate during severe weather events

Emergency Services and Disaster Agency is an integral part of our City’s emergency response team. This organization ensures that updating of emergency procedures occurs and provides support to the City’s emergency responders and is prepared to assist at any major event that our City may experience.
